Personal Project

For my father's Christmas gift, I created a comprehensive brand identity for his beloved chicken coop, transforming this personal passion project into a branded experience. Drawing inspiration from the physical coop itself, I developed a thoughtful brand that celebrated both the craftsmanship of his henhouse and the quality of his homegrown eggs.

The brand development process began with careful observation of existing elements that could inform the design direction. I incorporated the distinct red, yellow, green, and black of his barn door as the primary colors in the palette, creating a visual connection between the brand and the physical space. Next, I sketched the actual chicken coop structure, transforming it into a distinctive graphic element that became central to the brand identity. This personal touch ensured the design felt authentic and meaningful.

The comprehensive brand package included a custom logo, a tailored typography system that balanced rustic charm with readability, and a cohesive color palette drawn from the natural setting. The project culminated in designing and printing custom egg carton packaging that my dad could use when sharing his eggs with friends and neighbors. This practical application transformed a simple neighborly gesture into a memorable branded experience, giving him pride in presenting his homegrown products. This practical application elevated a simple gift of fresh eggs into a memorable branded experience, reflecting both his dedication to quality and the personal connection he shares with his community through his hobby.
